APPROACH
TO THERAPY: Over the past 25 years as a Psychologist,
I have trained in numerous theory and practice approaches so I can custom
tailor therapy to "start where you are." When you call, I will
ask you to come in for a consultation. Together we will talk about your
feelings and issues: I will give you some feedback and help you think
through some broad goals for yourself and therapy, and whether I believe I
am the right person to help you.
WHO
SHOULD CALL:
1)
Those seeking Psychotherapy or Psychoanalysis:
•Individuals (teens
and older), couples, families.
•Those suffering from depression, anxiety and panic disorders, sexual
dysfunction, relationship/intimacy issues, women and work issues, and
those with neurological impairments.
•As a journalist in my
first career, I work with writers who present with anxiety,
procrastination, perfectionism, and creativity blocks.
•I also consult with people and/or their therapists who are unclear/
dissatisfied
with their current or past therapy (and may not know why).
2) Organization executives/ members seeking vision and change management,
or work-related coaching.
3) Those seeking a separation or divorce by using a Collaborative Divorce
team (a court approach to divorce), which includes a lawyer for each
spouse, a financial advisor, sometimes an educational consultant, and
myself as a coach.
4) Other professionals seeking supervision, individual or group.
5) The general public seeking a group speaker for an organization.
