I am a
NY State licensed psychologist in practice for over 20 years. My
approach is eclectic and practical, the goal being to facilitate the
individual who works with me in a therapeutic process, to establish or
reestablish a life that feels better and that works for the person. I
realize the importance and impact of our past experiences, and utilize
these experiences to provide an understanding of what is happening in
the present. I work with individuals (adults and adolescents) and with
couples. Specialty areas include: depression, anxiety, substance use and
related problems; marital and relationship problems, issues related to
infertility and adoption; and, the creative process. I think it is
critical to hear the person who comes to me for help, and offer a
