The NCPTSD was created within the Department of Veterans Affairs to address the needs of veterans with military-related PTSD. Their website, however, has a tremendous collection of resources concerning PTSD and other enduring consequences of traumatic stress both military and non-military. In addition to fact sheets and other informational resources, one can also access the PILOTS database, an electronic index to the worldwide literature on post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other mental-health consequences of exposure to traumatic events.
